If Feinstein knows this was a set up and she released the name in a desperate attempt to delay the process then She can’t let the witness testify since her own actions would amount to suborning perjury.
So now she is scrambling to make sure the hearing won’t take place because she knows her formerly anonymous whistleblower will never take the stand because the whole plot would be revealed and DIFi would likely get kicked out of the Senate.
Ford will not appear on Thursday. The Dems will do everything they can to disrupt the proceedings. Kavenaugh will testify. The committee will vote. The weak kneed GOPe’ers will have their cover and Kavensugh will take his seat on the First Tuesday in October.
