The Nifong prosecution didn’t turn out well for him, but he did manage to disrupt and set back all the boys’ career paths. Lots of willing DAs in Maryland willing to bring charges, even if it means taking one for the “team”.
If this was a FELONY then maybe. What happened - if it happened as alleged - was a juvenile misdemeanor assault and battery, at most.

Kavanaugh is accused of doing something that supposedly happened in Maryland where there is no statute of limitations on that type of crime. The point I was sarcastically making was that in liberal Maryland everything is politicized and I wouldn’t be surprised if there was some sort of “investigation” initiated against him. Lack of evidence wouldn’t stop them from doing it.
A Maryland investigation won’t hold anything up at all. They can spin their wheels in Maryland all the want. Any sensational nonsense they put out will be blown flat immediately.

Maryland has no statute of limitation for rape. But even if this lying nutbag’s allegations are true (they’re not), Judge Kavenaugh would at most have committed fourth or fifth degree misdemeanor assault, and that statute of limitations for that has run by a few decades.
