Sadly, many adults with teenagers, rather than correcting them, adopt this kind of dialect as their own.
Took a call at work from a guy who’s supposed to be the new “communications director” for a nonprofit organization, wanting to set up a meeting between their executive director and our company president. I was struck by how juvenile his speech sounded, for someone I could presume is college educated. It’s really sad to see how degraded the use of proper, spoken English has become.
