Radio host Mark Levin warned fellow conservatives on Friday evening that they should not rush to conclusions about the New York Times latest story alleging that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein had plotted against President Donald Trump.
He warned that Trumps enemies might be trying to goad him into firing Rosenstein before the midterm elections by leaking information from memoranda created by former Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe, who was fired in March for lying.
In addition, Levin cautioned conservatives to consider why the Times with its record of inaccurate reporting on the Trump administration would have wanted to expose a threat to Trump. He pointed out several left-wing canards in the article, such as the claim that Trump had asked former FBI director James Comey to end the investigation of National Security Advisor Michael Flynn.
Levin suggested that McCabe, or Mueller or Muellers deputy, Andrew Weismann had clear motives to leak the claims about Rosenstein to the Times claims that were tellingly absent from Lisa Pages contemporaneous notes about the meetings.
They have absolutely nothing on the President of the United States. They are trying to push their agenda. They are there for one reason and one reason only to write the report in hopes of impeaching the president with a Democrat Congress, Levin said.
The Special Counsels office would like nothing more than the President of the United States to fire Rosenstein to claim that he is truly obstructing an investigation, trying to influence their investigation, and then write it up as, effectively, as in Watergate, a Saturday Night Massacre of sorts.
In other words, its a setup of the president, Levin concluded, adding: The president must not fire Rosenstein, certainly not prior to the midterm election. Thats what they want.

This story wasn’t written by the NY Times.
They simply published a story that was written by and delivered to them by Mueller’s team.
The NYT is anything but our friend.
And, they are not above such plotting.
How about this?
Rosenstein is on Double Secret Probation (or the D.C. equivalent) until more can be learned (from several, reliable sources?)
.
p
White House is bugged. Maybe try to get Trump saying something Obstruction of Justice sounding?
Rod Rosenstein, meet the waterboard. Waterboard, meet Rod Rosenstein.
Well, well, if the President can’t fire someone for sedition or criminal conduct without destroying his presidency, then things are pretty much out of control. Rosenstein is the least problem.
Sessions has been squeezed. Rosenstein is a willing participant in this coup.
Hannity is echoing Levin’s bs on his show tonight. ‘It’s a trap Mr. President’. Shut up, Hannity. No one knows that for sure. It’s just an assumption. The media are going to go to defcon 1 no matter when Trump moves to fire these corrupt bastards in the DOJ. There’s not a lot of time left because the corrupt state is moving in for the kill. It’s kill or be killed.
“Well, well, if the President cant fire someone for sedition or criminal conduct without destroying his presidency, then things are pretty much out of control.”
Well said and succinctly put. That’s how FUBARed we are...
“Rod Rosenstein, meet the waterboard. Waterboard, meet Rod Rosenstein.”
Thumbs up^^^
Agree with Levin. As much as we all would like to see RR gone, it would be a mistake for POTUS to fire him before the midterms.
And consider the source. When has the NY Slimes EVER done anything that would benefit President Trump? Enough said.
This is an act of desperation. The New York Times is putting its credibility on the the line in an attempt to trap the President. The best course of action is to sit back and let the liberal media expose itself as nothing more than the propaganda arm of the Democrat/Socialist Party.
What's wrong with doing what's right, removing a seditionist, before the election?
lllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll
Fire them now, lose Kavena. Main concern is getting that guy on SC. This is all subterfuge to muck up the waters even more.
Because it is a bait and switch tactic by the NY Slimes.
The President fires RR, and the left goes bananas with the call for him to be impeached for obstruction of justice ala Richard Nixon.
I know that is just the way it’s going to be whenever POTUS does fire RR and/or Jeff Sessions. But it’s best to wait until after the midterms. IMHO. I agree with Mark Levin.
I suspect McCabe leaked a memo that he wrote documenting the meeting.
Recall he said he was going to bring down the FBI with him.
Alright. I agree with Mark.
I’m sure that when Trump pulls the trigger firing anyone it will be that he has seen the official documentation or has first-hand info, and it will not be based on a media report.
The Marines should run exercises in the DOJ parking lot
I heard ML. His arguments are compelling.
“Fire them now, lose Kavena. Main concern is getting that guy on SC. “
Main concern is getting ‘our’ corrupt stasi state under control if that’s possible. Even if we get our guys on SCROTUS, the radical left, in control of our stasi state, are so out of control the ends justify the means—See Roberts(blackmailed) and Scalia(pillowed).
