“In the last election my Mom voted in (pushing 80), she voted for Bill Clinton.”
In 2008 my MIL (90 y.o.) voted for Obama. “I think we should give that nice young black man a chance.” I was disgusted. Didn’t talk to her for a year.
I remember some years back my mother was in her late 70s and we were discussing the election. She was going to vote again for that nice Clinton boy from Arkansas. I told her not to bring it up again while we were on vacation together. I was planning to shop for pistols the next day. She brought up Clinton and I said, Mom don’t talk about him or I will buy another hand gun every time you bring up his name.
That was the first time I got her to shut up about Clinton. Before she got to her real senior years she never voted for a Democrat.
