I liked the ‘Vacation ‘ movies in spite of Chevy Chase. It was the writing. SNL replaced him with Bill Murray. A truly funny man.
IIRC Chase and Murray were on snl together for a brief period, one or two seasons I think....from what I understand chase didn’t like Bill Murray IMO because Murray was (and always has been) hands down funnier. Also, if you notice in the Caddyshack movie they have one scene together in the whole movie, I don’t think they’ve ever liked each other much.
