I can’t see Whelan going public with Garrett’s name unless he had spoken to him. That’s a slander case waiting to happen if he hasn’t cleared it.
Having just read up a little on Whelan, he seems to be too well respected to float this as a 1 day dodge. If it has no meat to it, that will be shown quickly and he’ll look like an idiot.
