They aren’t going to have to impeach Kavanaugh. I think he will testify, defend his innocence as best he can at this point and then tell them to eff themselves. I do not see this decent man putting his wife and two daughters through years of pain. Their lives have been destroyed by these harpies. We were out to dinner with some friends last night and two of them were lawyers. They both agreed that this is what Kavanaugh will likely do.

A little bit ago, Gillibrand was being interviewed, ranting in an escalating hysteria. She was almost incoherent, making ridiculous demands and I honestly think this is their plan to just get Kavanaugh to withdraw.

If Kavanaugh withdraws, they win.

Not that I’d really blame him.

My grandfather was a well-connected Democrat back in the 60’s and 70’s. The party tried to get him to run for elective office. He would never agree because of precisely THIS....the grief that his wife and family would go through thanks to the mudslinging tactics of OTHER DEMOCRATS.

If what I have seen so far of Kavanaugh is real, no way he drops out. Doing so is tantamount to an admission of guilt. Since it is impossible to prove a negative and there is no hint of evidence proving this allegation Kavanaugh’s dropping out would mean in the future the loony libs would do this exact same thing to literally every Conservative Judge ever nominated and they would get away with it.

“We were out to dinner with some friends last night and two of them were lawyers. They both agreed that this is what Kavanaugh will likely do.”

No offense to lawyers (my son is one), but there is no reason a lawyer would have any special insight into this type of personal decision.

Also, once Kavanaugh is confirmed, there will be little reason for the Leftist harpies to continue their attacks. Justice Clarence Thomas was put through the same ringer - maybe worse - and his accuser never retracted anything.

Yet, the vicious public and media attacks on him quickly faded once he was confirmed. I am not aware of his opinions ever being questioned, qualified, or delegitimized on the basis of the Anita Hill allegations.

The only time I ever see the Anita Hill allegations dredged up is on Hannity or here on FR, as an example of the Demcrat’s shameful character assassination, and Thomas’ now famous rebuke, wherein he called the Senate hearing a “high tech lynching”.

I think everyone knows in both the Thomas case and the Kavanaugh case that these accusations are nothing but partisan Democrat attempts to block the confirmations of conservative justices. They have no genuine concern about either man’s character - their only concern is loss of their beloved abortions.

Once they fail to block confirmation, it will all go away, and that will be that.
