I grew up in this Diocese. I was confirmed by Bishop Head. I never came across questionable priests, but I was young and not aware of such a problem. in fact my education was done mainly by lay people and nuns, most of whom, looking back, were saintly women
If even a little true, it is heartbreaking. You have never seen a more loyal and faithful Catholic community in that time. Polish, Irish and Italian immigrants and their children built beautiful churches and vibrant, close knit parishes in every neighborhood

Of course we are supposed to believe there is no connection between homosexuality and pedophilia. There are even posters here that maintain this position.
