Years ago, I was a cop. A hippie band is playing in a small venue in the city and a young girl passes out in the aisle. We gather her up, bring her to the office and she comes to. No issues. Probably smoke a ton of weed, but no other issues. Bottle of water and she was ok. Asked her how old she was: 19. Where was she from: New Jersey. Where was she staying: Ritz Carlton downtown. Where at the Ritz Carlton: Concierge Level of the Ritz Carlton. How do you afford that: My parents give me a credit card and ATM card and let me follow the band around, as long as I fly first class and stay in hotels like the Ritz. We got her a cab and sent her to the hotel.
I won’t go into the time I watched another girl, around the same age, OD and die right in front of me at a similar concert and then have her friend refuse to tell me who and where she got the drugs from. Amazing.
