The life we had when one switch of a party or one special pork rider to a bill would save or kill a piece of legislation in the 1990s has been back due to the late McCain and ones like Collins-—too ditzy to keep her mind on her role as a GOP senator, so flits back and forth wringing her hands.
The VP can never stray far from DC because a tie vote may be announced at any moment.
One thing worse: the American voters voting Dems (God forbid) to a majority. They all vote as a 100% bloc.
