snip---ON ATTORNEY GENERAL Jeff Sessions Buck Sexton: Mr. President, why havent you replaced your attorney general, given all the things youve said and everything else thats come out about his actions, or inactions?
President Trump: Im so sad over Jeff Sessions because he came to me. He was the first senator that endorsed me. And he wanted to be attorney general, and I didnt see it. But he came very strongly he really wanted to be. And, I let him be.
And then he went through the nominating process and he did very poorly. I mean, he was mixed up and confused, and people that worked with him for, you know, a long time in the Senate were not nice to him, but he was giving very confusing answers. Answers that should have been easily answered. And that was a rough time for him, and he won by one vote, I believe. You know he won by just one vote.
(The interview was briefly interrupted.)
President Trump: He won by one vote, and its so sad what happened. Then he gets in and probably because of the experience that he had going through the nominating when somebody asked him the first question about Hillary Clinton or something he said I recuse myself, I recuse myself. And now it turned out he didnt have to recuse himself. Actually, the FBI reported shortly thereafter any reason for him to recuse himself. And its very sad what happened. In the meantime, I dont have an attorney general. Its very sad. Im not happy at the border, Im not happy with numerous things, not just this.
Buck Sexton: Are we going to get a wall Mr. President?
President Trump: OK, well, let me just finish this. Well see what happens, I mean, well see what happens. A lot of people have asked me to do that. And I guess I study history, and I say I just want to leave things alone, but it was very unfair what he did. And my worst enemies, I mean, people that, you know, are on the other side of me, in a lot of ways including politically, have said that was a very unfair thing he did. You know, youve seen that, when he recused himself. So anyway, so, so well see how it goes with Jeff. Im very disappointed in Jeff. Very disappointed.
These were the strongest words yet by Trump re Sessions.
Im very disappointed in Jeff. Very disappointed.
An honorable man would resign tomorrow.

I love it...the cover...the act.
I also love that I am right.
There you have it.
I’d like to belive it is an act. This says it all to me. Not an act.
“””Id like to belive it is an act. This says it all to me. Not an act.”””
I likewise have held on for a long time hoping Sessions was really ok.
In the video accompanying the interview Solomon and Sexton said that Trump said ALL of his Cabinet members were doing great except Sessions.
It is sad to see. Sessions was Trump’s early supporter when the rest of the GOP Establishment was dissing Trump.
Id like to belive it is an act. This says it all to me. Not an act.
...
So it is just like PDJT to pour out his heart and show weakness and turn over all his cards?
Never!
trump is right, its a very sad situation for all involved. I thought Jeff was going to be great in the role, but hes been too busy locking up potheads and pushing asset forfeiture.
Of course he wont. He lacks honor.

Im probably a rarity in reading these articles. The President is in complete control of many narratives. Amazingly well informed for someone running a country. I take the President at his word or tweet and he has moved on from disappointment, disdain to downright contemp for what Sessions and his lackey Rosenstein have done to his administration. I expect him to say its been deliberate soon enough...it has been.
I believe in Sessions!
Yes, we know.
I dont.

I think he is prepping us for a Sessions removal. Explaining why before he does it. So we know why and can tell others. Try to get as much support as possibly because the media is going to try and make this move controversial.
Yeah no kidding, that’s about as close as you can get without being asked outright to resign.
Yeah no kidding, thats about as close as you can get without being asked outright to resign.
Ive quit jobs for less than that.

Explaining this on FR is pissing in the wind.
You make a very good point about President Trump being in command of an incredibly challenging job. Those who attack him as dumb or losing it, because he sometimes speaks in the ways an average blue collar worker would readily understand, without talking down to them, are either themselves not paying attention, or flat out liars. I also note that for all his self-promotion, he also seems to readily admit to mistakes — such as not replacing Comey immediately.
Sessions could have been one of the greatest Atty. Generals ever. Rooting out corruption in our gov’t is one of the most daunting challenges to ever face this country...
