That is not a nice description of Willie Brown’s kleenex of choice for a few years in the 90’s...

Well done. This maneuvering has nothing to do with the dems. They won’t be placated no matter what. Grassley wants to get the RINOs on board. This approach is reasonable and may accomplish that but we shall see.

Its less than six weeks to midterms. There is more involved than saying no.

What Im hearing from women that have been assulted is that this hurts them and has made them angry. He would be confirmed if the jury was full of women who had experience with true. Assault. Most assulted women remember more details.

This is not over. Expect on Friday that something will happen.... surprise witness... she agrees to testify but wants a couple more days.... whatever. We already went from Thursday to Monday. They keep saying, "She has until Monday." Why keep saying it when she already said she isn't showing up.
At this point they have to start saying, "It's over. She rejected the offer."
They keep leaving the door open... morons.

"The senate calls itself the Worlds Greatest Deliberative Body.
What a complete farce that is." Perhaps the Senate was at one time the "World's
Greatest Deliberative Body." Not anymore.
And yes the Democrats and RINOs have made it into a farce.

"Or she can hop on a barstool and tell her sad tale, but
most likely she will try to land a "tell all" book deal,
with the forgotten parts filled in by dem
operatives skilled in fiction." You got it! Her motives are mostly about "$$$$." But the Dem
motivation is to derail Kavanaugh and give Trump a black eye.

Grassley is giving up too much. He should have held the vote this week. No way should he allow closed hearings.
Why no closed hearings? Are you sure you want the Kabuki theatre? Do you want to see the Rats play all self righteous and try to find more ways to delay the vote? Closed session will still be “on the record” for later prosecution if it comes to that.

As I stated in response to rdl6989’s earlier post, “Why do you want to give the Rats a chance to give a full display of Kabuki theatre? It would only increase their chance to delay the confirmation process.

Well said and cannot be said enough. Give her a chance and if she blows it off hey we tried. If they boast as you say well lose both branches by epic proportions

No. This needs to be televised.

Anita had to give her testimony on camera. Why shouldn’t Ford? Surely, Grassley isn’t making an exception because she’s white! That’s racist!!!

A disturbed individual can stop congressional business with an unsubstantiated accusation. What has this nation come to?
There needs to be severe consequences for anyone doing this. They had better have solid evidence before trying anything like this. This just asking for more of the same when they get to gofundme and receive huge amounts of cash.

As Brit Hume pointed out to Tucker Carlson the other night, the GOP Senators are terrified of not appearing sympathetic of the #MeToo movement. Especially right before an election.
Yet, the democrats can rip Kavanaugh’s jugular out, even though he hasn't been proved guilty.
What hypocrites!

It seems they've already succeeded in that attempt.

By Sunday Ford will be in the hospital for “exhaustion” because of “stress” and thus Dems can try and force another Delay and “republicans” will go along with them
