[But a new wrinkle in the proceedings emerged on Tuesday evening when Ford’s lawyers sent a letter to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) asking that the testimony be delayed until the FBI conducted an investigation into the allegations. The request was quickly shot down by Grassley.]

Sheer BS. Have the vote.

The request by the accuser’s lawyer for an FBI investigation is possibly the most absurd thing I’ve heard all year (and 2018 has had no shortage of absurdities). What’s to investigate? The allegation itself is the only evidence and can be the only evidence unless and until this sweetheart comes up with more details.

Right - that just indicates to me the whole thing was bogus and orchestrated from the get-go - if that’s what they wanted they would have sent the letter to the FBI and they would have included in their background report from the beginning of the process back in July - now they want it to where it would be impossible for the confirmation to be completed in time - they are following the Dem playbook. And why did they have her just out of the blue take polygraph back in August? This behavior does not indicate any of this is genuine.
