I don't think the Democrats want her to show. She's much more useful to them as a symbol of unfair treatment whose allegations were never investigated than she would be as a witness who imploded in the hearing.

Plus, they're going to try to use the unfairness accusation against Republicans in the midterm. If they actually participate in the hearing, then it is more difficult to say that it was inherently unfair.
