There are more bear attacks than a person thinks. I have seen grizzlies up close in BC, and my guide was chewed up by one years ago that was wounded. The guy was a tough SOB, had his leg in a cast and finished tracking it down and killed it on crutches.
He also had a guide working for him that was killed by a grizzly about 15 years ago. About the time I got back from BC, a logger was killed in the area where I hunted when his truck broke down at dusk and he walked up on a mama and cub in the dark.
