Thomas was confirmed and we lost the 1992 election. We ended up with 43 GOP seats. Ugly. Lost president. And didn’t get the house. I hope history doesn’t repeat at least in Congress in 2018.

That was all about Bush Sr. not the Court.

Hardly cause and effect. Thomas’s confirmation was 16 months prior to the 1992 election. In that time, Bush lost the faith of the electorate on his own.
