Trump has set integrity traps like this over and over and over and the idiots keep stepping right up into them, every time.
It's deeper than that -- he gives them something to criticize (and their criticisms were mild and carefully qualified), setting them apart, ahead of their election denouement, in a state with a large Latino ancestry population, while the POTUS gets credit from the rest of us.
