We lived in Juneau for 25 years, two miles from the Mendenhall Glacier. If you've taken a cruise up the Inside Passage, and a tour bus to that particular glacier, you passed by our house and probably didn't honk or wave.
Most folks with any common sense know that standing beneath the face of ANY glacier, summer or winter, is a really bad idea.

...you passed by our house and probably didn't honk or wave. I did and got nothing from you. Stuck up.

What about the numbnutts that go kayaking alongside the face of glaciers?
Didn't a couple of them get wiped out about 30 years ago when they chose a poor time to visit one?

We did wave! You must have been out.
We did the helicopter tour to the Juneau ice field which was breathtaking. Fantastic pictures of my kids when they were younger.
Anyone considering an Alaska cruise should definitely go. I’ve been to lots of places and Alaska ranks up there with the pyramids, IMHO
