A lot of them were Hispanic.

Although most did decamp about a week before the battle ended and thus most survived.

You are correct that is what the left promotes today, distorted history.

But, there were Tejanos and Anglos both at the Alamo and at San Jacinto. FACT

In fact Juan Sequin was at both. He was the last rider that was sent out to plead for reinforcements. And fought in the battle of San Jacinto. (there is a county in South Texas carrying his name)
