De Zavala wasn’t at the Alamo. But José Gregorio Esparza died there. His Children, however, survived the battle, and two went on to serve in the Confederate army.
Interesting article. Outrageous that something like this was even considered. Even in red states, the battle continues to erase our history.
Yeah, I know that Zavala wasn’t at the Alamo. I was speaking to the broader subject of Hispanic contributions to the Republic of Texas.
You are correct that is what the left promotes today, distorted history.
But, there were Tejanos and Anglos both at the Alamo and at San Jacinto. FACT
In fact Juan Sequin was at both. He was the last rider that was sent out to plead for reinforcements. And fought in the battle of San Jacinto. (there is a county in South Texas carrying his name)
Juan Sequin was at both the Alamo and at San Jacinto.
He was the last rider to leave the Alamo to beg for reinforcements.
Yep. I know. His story would make for a helluva movie.
Right. And the Tejanos rebelling against Santa Anna were race traitors.
George P. Bush is wanting to get his hands on the Alamo and change it to reflect just that.
Agree. Unfortunately, some of those in the US who cling to MX are not fans of the real Juan Sequin. It does not fit their narrative. Most are only useful idiots, but they have a cumulative impact.
A 15 member board that most people don’t hear much about but
are instrumental in setting the education policies in Texas.
Members are elected to four year terms.
If you allow the Left (i.e., school teachers and related) to control the board - you get LEFTIST POLICIES - even in Texas.
I have NO CLUE as to why Republicans cannot figure out something that simple.
Right. And the Tejanos rebelling against Santa Anna were race traitors.
Just as Clarence Thomas is a RACIST!
