It looks like the new path takes it directly across Charlotte.

The projected path takes it nowhere near Charlotte, NC. Did you mean Charleston, SC?

The new path has it turning after it hits the coast, then heading directly west, roughly along a line between Rock Hill and Charlotte.

The shift in the storm's projection means Charlotte would be right of the center of the storm, where wind and rain are the most damaging, the Charlotte Observer reported Wednesday."
