There is nothing good or right about this initiative.

Why is climate change a problem? Human beings adapted in the past, and shall do so time and again in the future.

Climate change can displace things, but is there really any initiative that feeble mankind can undertake to change it one whit? Oh, on a small scale, and very locally, we can exert some control, but as the radius spreads out, the effect diminishes to infinitesimal.

Now, if the good Lord sees fit to modify climate so we have transpolar ocean traffic and raise bananas in Labrador, humanity can get accustomed. Maybe they have to leave Miami, but so what. Toledo would be nice year around.

And think of the power generation potential of a belt of solar collection panels spaced out evenly around the equator, to take advantage of the changing vector of the direct overhead sun.

I leave the problem of equitable power generation distribution to future generations, as they shall be descended from a highly adaptable people.

Every "solution" to climate change involves a massive transfer of the world's wealth from rich countries to poor countries.
