How did they flee the plane? I would have thought that, given their suspicious behavior and the general situation, the plane plane doors would have been kept closed until agents could have questioned the travelers.

How did they flee the plane?I think, that before the muslim attacks on America (I refuse to write n-nn), airlines usually treated such incidents as possible hijackings and it was thought the best way was to just let things play out.

I agree .
I was on a plane that was ordered back after taking off at SFO.
We were told to take our bags and walk one by one out of the plane and security was there pulling people out of line and we were told to keep walking .
