You are so right on. Many people, some may call them Yankees, don’t understand that many “Hispanics” fought for Texas and their families are proud Americans. Maybe a few are not, but they not the majority. They have been here for generations.
The small family ranch I grew up on is still being worked and lived on by a cousin of mine-it has a Texas heritage ranch plaque on the gate, having been a family working ranch for a documented 176 + years. Like many W. Texas ranches post oil boom, it is a remnant of a once-larger one. The last democrat any relative voted for that I know of was JFK-no democrat voters in the family since then-and nobody hires or likes mojados either-that attitude is also common in old Tejano rural families-liberals don’t like that we are just ordinary American conservatives, so they pretend we don’t exist...
