President Donald Trump spoke at the 9/11 memorial service in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday, recalling the attacks of September 11, 2001. Trump praised the valor of the 40 passengers and crew members of Flight 93 for resisting the terrorists in control of the hijacked plane, which led to the crash in a Pennsylvania field.
At this memorial on this sacred earth in the field beyond this wall and in the skies above our heads, we remember the moment when America fought back, Trump said, praising the Americans aboard the flightchanged the course of history by resisting the terrorists.
Trump recognized the heroes who planned and voted to take action against the terrorist hijackers.
At that moment, they took their fate and Americas fate back into their own hands, he said.
Trump recognized the nearly 7,000 service members who died since 9/11 facing radical Islamic terrorism and promised he would do everything he could to prevent another attack on American soil.
This field is now a monument to American defiance, he said. This memorial is now a message to the world: America will never, ever submit to tyranny.

Now I see it becoming History.
Thanks KC_Lion. It's nice to have a President who honors national symbols For that matter, it's nice just to have a President again.
The feeling of foreboding disaster on 9/11/2001 was similar to what I felt on the day JFK was shot. Both events told me that this was just the beginning of future bad times. Both events remain historical mysteries.
Thank you, Mr. President, and lovely Melania. So many have forgotten already. It is so good to have a Patriot President, and a gorgeous First Lady, who is grateful to be an American.
Bump!
I love President Trump and I believe him to be the best President of my lifetime exceeding that of even President Reagan
I listened to a portion of the live speech today from PA, and after 5 minutes of his speech, I had to shut it down. It was the most fake speech I’ve ever heard him give. He certainly didn’t have his usual demeanor, and seemed to force himself to read it.
So I turned away feeling embarrassed for him. I don’t think that’s the speech he really wanted to give, but he wasn’t in a position to say anything else at the moment. He did what he did out of kindness, but I sensed his heart wasn’t in the words. Purely specutive of course, but I trust my instincts, and the evedence along with what I saw and heard live that day.
Best President and First Lady EVER!!!!

Notice the difference between 9-11 and Pearl Harbor.
After Pearl Harbor young men lined up to join to fight the Japanese and Axis forces.
After 9-11, young people wept and wailed about “Oh what did WE DO to make them hate us so! Uh-o got to go to my weaving class”
I thought just the opposite, and Rush reported that the speech has been getting good reviews. I thought it was very heartfelt - Trump was just being somber, which could be mistaken for detached if you’re used to the tone he uses in the rallies.
Todd Beamer,,,
Let’s Roll!
This sure is a far cry from Obamas “we all should learn from this” BS
Funny side note...I remember Rush quoting Peter Jennings saying “Let Us Roll”. Rush said...”let us roll what Peter? A joint? A bail of hay”?! “It’s ‘let’s roll’ you elitist snob”!

The Left will never admit that 9/11 was really an ATROCITY perpetuated by Islamic fanatics. Even in the face of such murderous horror the Left cant bring itself to that inconvenient truth and challenge to their own power.

Thank you Mr President for your beautiful words today.
What a relief it is to have a President who gives proper respect to the memory of that dreadful day. A day of dread and fear but also a day in which the courage of the American citizen was shown as clearly as an y moment in the history of the Republic.
How good it is to have a President who understands this. Both Bush and Obozzo always looked bored when marking this day, as if it was a chore
