Broadway legend Carole Cook implied she wants to see President Trump get assassinated, asking Where's John Wilkes Booth when you need him?" when approached by a TMZ cameraman in Los Angeles on Sunday night. The 94-year-old Cooks comment delighted her husband, who quickly reminded viewers that John Wilkes Booth killed a president, who was obviously Abraham Lincoln.

At 94, John Wilkes Booth will shortly and surely be on hand to escort you to your well-heated eternal resting place.

I only saw her in one show, as a kiddo and was suitably impressed. She was a marvel and yes, I do know about the Candide thing. She was absolutely correct to tell Bernstein what she did!

I know nearly nothing about Broadway and will defer to your comment #54. Met Patty Duke Astin a few times during the ‘70s, when she was enjoying a little privacy. She was polite those few times and didn’t say much. It’s probably best that I didn’t know anything. An older lady I worked with knew all of that celebrity fan stuff, but I was a very young man and didn’t listen. ;-)

Broadway hasn't been what it used to be for many, many, MANY years; sadly.
We used to go all the time and now, we no longer go at all; there is NOTHING to see...it's all CRAP!

"Revising and extending my remarks:
And so now the democrats see Trump as a danger to their voting lock on black Americans. If he successfully improves the economy and brings back the good manufacturing jobs (for example) that the democrats claimed were lost forever, and opportunities for blacks continue opening up and black unemployment ranks continue falling, they might actually start thinking that freedom is better than socialism and start voting Republican again (already happening).
So the democrats are now desperately trying to take down President Trump, any way they can."
Yes. I worked with many black folks, listened to what some had to say and lived close to work in manufacturing in the past. The truth of the matter is that most black people (especially men) don't put much trust in either political party or much faith in politics, and they're highly suspicious of politicians and rich political constituents who claim to know what's good for them. They're suspicious of white lefties who claim to be on their side. Most of them like having jobs, and they don't like high taxes. Sound familiar?
Democrats are more afraid of losing perceived control than anything, but it was bound to happen sooner or later.
Jobs are most important. President Trump has said that he will work for everyone. Looks like he was telling the truth.
