The real Picard maneuver was straightening his tunic every time he stood up.
Hated that move and was not a yuge fan of TNG

Yes. And they have hired only the best, hippest dancers. Here's a preview.

Stalactites, stalagmites
Shut me in, lock me tight
Lips are dry, throat is dry
Feel like burning, stomach churning
I’m dressed up in a white costume
Padding out leftover room
Body stretching, feel the retching
In the cage
Get me out of the cage

By the time Trump leaves office, this will be a very different world, for all sorts of reasons and ways.
I used to say, at the turn of the century, that the world changes as much today in five years as it used to in five generations.
Now it’s more like 18 months per five generations.
We live in the future.

I always wondered if that song was satirical or extremely naive. Catchy tune, though.

No, they got it backward, you’re supposed to stand outside the cage, operate the joystick, use the claw to try to snatch the toy inside. And lose all your quarters in the process.
What could they possibly be thinking???

Song was actually based on worldwide “scientific experiments” conducted by most of the world’s nations between 1957 and 1958. It was called the “International Geophysical Year” and was to herald a whole new era of international cooperation in the sciences to make the world a better place for all.

Looks like a claw version of your basic warehouse forklift, most of which are enclosed for safety. People shouldnt try so hard to make everything evil.Dude, this is the end of mankind.

[Therell be spandex jackets one for everyone! The real Picard maneuver was straightening his tunic every time he stood up. Those form fitting garments are meant for people in awesome condition; or, about 1% of Americans.] Those weren't have as bad as The Motion Picture uniforms, in which dudes' junks were bulging out of them....

This should have been invented 100 years ago. I’ve seen videos of workers getting sucked into revolving machine parts in factories. Usually a loose tie or arm sleeve gets caught and pulls them in. So, there won’t be any gruesome videos coming out of Amazon factories.

Hard guarding has typically been used in robotic workcells for safety reasons to keep humans safe.
