Dan Bongino got a major unsolicited shout out from President Trump at his rally in Montana last week, and he should, because Dan Bongino is one of the people who has strung all of this together in one place, using information derived from people like John Solomon, Chuck Ross, Jeff Carlson, and Sarah Carter, all of whom are doing the work that a real media would do, if they weren't total shills for the Left.
Of key importance is the LAST renewal of the FISA warrant to see what is in it (or as Dan Bongino waggishly puns, "Ohr, what ISN'T in it.)
This is crucially and vitally important to look at, for the simple reason (from the John Solomon article at the Dan Bongino link):

That may not sound like much, but it is huge. Because that "exculpatory" information was known by the FBI (and there is no doubt that John Solomon has real, and accurate sources) BEFORE the last approved FISA Warrant renewal.But multiple sources tell me the FBI soon received information — now considered highly classified — that undercut the theory of the Papadopoulos case. If the "Paragraph 1" of the FISA Warrant is still trying to leverage George Papadopoulous, and they DID NOT INCLUDE THE "EXCULPATORY" INFORMATION, THEN THE WHOLE CASE MULLER IS INVESTIGATING IS PRIMA FACIE DEAD AND INVALID. NO TWO WAYS AROUND IT.
THAT is why it is so important.
For the people behind this, there were four separate attempts to get information out of the NSA database (and remember...if ANY of these worked, they had legal access to ALL the information they had already pulled out of the database illegally, because the FISA Warrant allows hops of two contacts from the primary going back five full years):
- PHASE ONE: TAKE THE DATA DIRECTLY. The people behind this found a loophole where FBI/NSA/DOJ non-governmental contract workers were taken on to complete a task such as translating SIGNIT data from native languages into english, which is common. However, the head of NSA under the Obama Administration, Admiral Mike Rogers, noticed that there was a threefold increase in NSA database queries. Admiral Rogers did an audit, and ended up shutting off ALL contractor access in April 2016. THIS IS IMPORTANT. This audit showed that the increase in unauthorized queries began in November 2015 (Coincidentally, when Nellie Ohr began working for Fusion GPS...so there is speculation...was she contracted to do any of this translation or context development work while at Fusion GPS?) What they found out in the audit is that the 85% of the illegal queries involved these contractors, who did not have their access to the NSA database shut off when they finished their contracted tasks, AND THOSE CONTRACTORS ILLEGALLY AND WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION CONTINUED TO PULL DATA OUT OF THE DATABASE. THEY ALSO FOUND THAT THE DATABASE HAD NOT BEEN RESTRICTED TO THOSE CONTRACTORS TO ONLY ALLOW THEM TO QUERY THE DATA THEY NEEDED! This is a major scandal in and of itself. See the graphic below from the FISA Court itself that looked at the issue when they were informed by law of the "irregularity":
- PHASE TWO: GET GEORGE PAPADOPOULOUS. When access to the database was shut down in April 2016 by Admiral Rogers, this was phase two: somenone gets a bright idea: let's get a FISA warrant on George Papadopoulos and we can continue to legally pull data without having to do it surreptitiously. When it became clear that George Papdopoulos wasn't going to bite and give them something good, they went on to phase three.
- PHASE THREE: GET CARTER PAGE. When Papadopoulos didn't pan out, they tried to ensnare Carter Page to get a valid FISA warrant using data from the infamous Trump Dossier. Their idea was go after Carter Page because he was mentioned prominently in the dossier. But it was all false, and they knew they couldn't get him on that. So they had to try another approach.
- PHASE FOUR: GO BACK TO GEORGE PAPADOPOULOS: THIS is why the LAST FISA Warrant is important. To this point, they had failed to provide a FISA Warrant "Paragraph 1" that would stand up to scrutiny (That they KNEW was going to come now with Trump as President) This one (The last one) was renewed in June 2017, AFTER the "exculpatory" information about Papadopoulos was KNOWN to the FBI. After they interviewed him twice earlier in the year. The FBI had ALL of its information INCLUDING the interview with Josef Mifsud. All of it. And John Solomon's reliable sources tell him the information absolutely was "exculpatory" and ruled out George Papadopoulos as a valid subject for surveillance.
So that is the BIG question: Was that exculpatory information KNOWN by the FBI INCLUDED on that last FISA Warrant application in June 2017?
THAT'S why it is so important. And it is pretty obvious that many people understand this, including Trump himself. It will sink their entire narrative.
