Had a family member shot by an ex-con during a robbery. Family member survived. The ex-con had been out something like 3 days.
Finally, a few years after that I bought my first pistol and learned how to shoot. Hope I never need it for self-defense.
The fellows in G’ville held a knife to my neck from behind the seat and then discussed what to do with me while contemplating some bushes. I didn’t like the look of that and told them the y were supposed to lock me in the trunk which they did. The police got there and got me out in about twenty minutes and already had the perps, picked up trying to rob a convenience store. I guess they dign’t think what I had to offer was enough.
