Were you in your location for Hurricane Fran?
If so you know that Fran was a category 3 hurricane when it hit the coast and then came directly over Raleigh.
The results to Raleigh were devastating.
Looked like bombs had gone off.
I will never forget the night of the wind and rain from Fran. That’s why I am thinking about at least bugging out to a motel instead of sitting at home and listening to the winds howl again.
I’m over past the RDU toward Durham/Chapel Hill, just off I 40.
Did Fran in Pennsylvania in 1996. I’m a Yankee import.
My home is brick, pretty high ground for flood protection but also protected from the wind. Cut down about 20 trees close to the house for fire protection so no blow over worries. Have a finished basement that will be quiet if necessary. I look forward to the adventure.
