According to the relative, the police officer’s key was found in the lock of the door of the apartment belonging to the deceased, after she tried unsuccessfully to open it.

The family member expressed the view that the officer involved in the shooting, who lived in an apartment on another floor of the complex”

Keys in the victims door, and the officer didn’t even live on that FLOOR!

Now the officer is on administrative leave pending and investigation?! If this officer was off duty, why is he/she not being treated as we would be treated? No way any of us get administrative leave from our jobs and avoid a jail cell that night.

Justice for some but not for all....

I wonder if they had some kind of relationship.

That is typical of getting off the elevator on the wrong floor. The layout of each corridor is exactly the same, and the doors all look alike. Without even thinking, you turn right, walk down four apartments, and try to put your key in the door.

Yes, I have actually done this. You usually notice that your key doesn’t fit, and everything else looks slightly wrong, and you say, Hey, wait a minute, this isn’t my floor.
