Twenty-two people were arrested Tuesday morning after they protested Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearing, U.S. Capitol Police said.
Protesters could be heard urging senators on the Senate Judiciary Committee to vote against Kavanaugh’s confirmation and to adjourn Tuesdays hearing.
Those arrested Tuesday were charged with disorderly conduct, according to a Capitol Police spokeswoman, who said that an update would be provided at the end of the day.
Happened during the Bush administration when cabinet members testified before Congress.
