Monica Lewinsky ends on-stage interview after being asked Clinton question

Monica Lewinsky ended a live interview and walked off stage at an event in Jerusalem on Monday night after being asked a question involving former President Clinton.

Lewinsky sat for the start of an interview at the Jerusalem Convention Center when Channel 2 news anchor Yonit Levi brought up Clinton's comments from June when he said he didn't believe he owed Lewinsky an apology.

“Do you still expect that apology? A personal apology?" Levi asked Lewinsky on Monday.

“I’m sorry, I’m not going to be able to do this,” Lewinsky responded, before putting down her microphone and walking off stage.

A spokesman declined to say whether Lewinsky left the stage because of the question itself, The Jerusalem Post reported.

Channel 2 News said in a statement reported by the Post that it thanked Lewinsky for her appearance and "we respect her sensitivity and wish her luck."

Before the interview, Lewinsky delivered a speech where she spoke about the 1998 scandal involving Clinton while she was a White House intern.

Lewinsky said that when the story broke, she “was shunned from almost every community which I belonged to, including my religious community.”

“That led to some very dark times for me,” she added, according to the Post.

Clinton came under criticism from members of his own party in June after forcefully defending the fact that he never personally apologized to Lewinsky.

The former president noted in the NBC News interview that he had apologized publicly but said he hasn’t apologized to her personally.

“I have never talked to her,” he said. “But I did say publicly on more than one occasion that I was sorry. That’s very different. The apology was public.”

Who is Monica Lewinsky without Bill Clinton?

Why does she believe she's relevant other than the fact she gave Bill Clinton a lewinsky?

That is what I was thinking. Had it not been for her desire to service the President in the Oval Office, she would have had a much different & obscure life.

I feel you here. My first question was (honestly), "what else would she be interviewed about?"

Has Miss Lewinsky made a name for herself by doing something fantastic that I have not heard about? I don't ask this to be mean--I am sincere. Has she done something noble or noteworthy that makes her worth an interview?

She’s famous for having made “Lewinsky” a transitive verb.

She’s no different than millions of other liberal skanks who would have done the same thing if they’d had the opportunity.

And, most likely, a happier one.

She bagged a big one, but got caught up in forces beyond her ken. I bet her subsequent dating life has been totally screwed up. How is a guy going to approach her as a regular person without considering all the fuss that surrounded her?

One thing I always thought he owed her for was not coming clean about how it went down so to speak. Always thought it was to some extent forced and she covered for him.

She became famous because we all learned that a bj is not sex.
She changed the definition of sex forever.

Urinoloist has the sense to follow her off rather than sitting there looking stupid.

Why else would they be interested in talking to her?

I’ll never forget when Monica was the main guest host on Saturday Night Live (suddenly she was a hip celebrity after the scandal was in full swing).

There was actually a funny “Ladies Man” skit, and she was a guest helping answer phone questions. One caller asked Monica for tips for having phone sex. Tim, the Ladies Man host, responded by saying, “I would not recommend having sex with a phone. I have tried it and it was very painful.”

Those were the days when SNL was occasionally funny.

That made its way into the lexicon super-quick.

She's also famous for playing the harmonica on Bill's penis.

Bill should apologize, true....but Monica bears some responsibility.

Remember, she snapped her thong underwear to get his attention.

Monica playing the victim is getting tiresome.

After all these years she cannot deal with questions about Bill Clinton which is the only reason we know she exists?
