Keep DST all year around. Changing the clocks is a useless exercise in stupidity.
________ the EU.
They actually asked the general public, and it’s like a 80-percent return....dump it. Probably the only positive thing the EU has done in a decade. Even I agree on this one.
I’m on board. Who says every thing starts at 9:00 regardless of where the sun is at?
Standard time, and leave it that way. I live in AZ, and that seems to work just fine.
No, I don’t want year-round DST. In the summer here, I just want the sun to go away at the end of the day. I don’t want to wait an extra hour for blessed darkness.
Honestly I don’t care, but then again my children are grown up and won’t have to walk to school in the dark.
In any event, I’m sure that the people who thought up DST were white supremacist morons who only came up with it in order to promote the patriarchy, so who am I to object to the mob that wants to get rid of it. Tear down the statues too, while you’re at it. It’ll make you feel good for a news cycle, so why not?
Then in a couple of years, you can re-institute it, but this time call it “Black Lives Matter Time” or some such.
Get rid of it.
Same here in Texas. Why would you want to prolong a hot summer day in Texas? Bring on the night!
End it entirely.
Hell yes!
Problem is, out here on the west coast without DST in May/June it would start to get light outside at 3:30 a.m. ... a bit early even for this ol’ rooster!
My regular work hours are 7am to 5:30 pm (which usually extends to 6:30PM). In the summer that at least gives me a couple of hours of daylight to get stuff done. I dot mind leaving for work in the dark or dim sunlight.
Nobody wants to shovel snow in the dark at 5:00 p.m......Keep DST alive
I’m usually up by 3:30 or so, even in winter. I miss being able to sleep late, but that’s the way it is.
I agree. Setting the clocks back and having it being dark at 4:45pm from the middle of November to the middle of February is just dumb.
“Nobody wants to shovel snow in the dark at 5:00 p.m....”
Why I live in Arizona.
Yes, the United States should!
I want them to keep it, as I sense a hidden agenda.
A uniform time zone strengthens the iron grip of the EU over its member states, just as the Euro currency does, common government, and so on. They want to end DST, in the wake of Brexit, to try to change the current flow back to unity, and towards globalization, away from nation states.
I vote YES.
