As a midshipman at USNA, I sang in one of the church choirs. Before services...we would warm up in a small memorial chapel ...adjacent to JPJ’s crypt. After warmups, we would go to the crypt where mess stewards had set up coffee and cookies for us... Always get a kick telling people I had coffee with JPJ every Sunday.
