Ironically, rumors are there were so many illegal votes in Dade and Broward Gillum may have won by massive voter fraud.

With 94 percent of the votes counted, Gillum had an unofficial 3 percentage point lead over his closest rival, former U.S. Rep. Gwen Graham. Gillum overwhelmed Graham in Miami-Dade and Broward, the states two largest Democratic counties, by more than a 2-to-1 margin, in the highest turnout for a midterm primary election in Florida history.
The bigger question is was the higher turnout in Dade/Broward due to so many illegals voting?
Never forget the blatant 2002 primary election day irregularities when Janet Reno was shut out of the FL Dem nomination for governor. Janet Reno herself had problems casting her vote in Miami-Dade that day.
Reps did well in FL in absentee voting and early voting--a good sign that the Reps are energized, at least in FL.
