It’s weird having a debate with my parents who think Nixon should burn in hell over Watergate, and asking them why there was nothing wrong, to them, with the Obama Administration spying on the Trump campaign. Their answer: “Well, there was some suspicion that Trump’s people were in involved with the Russians.” Using that standard, virtually every Democrat politician could have, should have, been spied on - but they were not. Why?
What is their reaction, if I may ask, to the follow up question on how they can be assured that the “suspicion” was legitimate when it appears that it was based on falsehoods?
