“A judicial process that doesn’t allow the accused to cross-examine his accuser or reliably see the evidence against him is a civil libertarian’s nightmare. It traduces every principle of fairness and is blatantly un-American.”

Sounds like the FISA courts.

What 14th Amendment right to due process and equal protection? The racists KKK democrats had the 14th amendment forced on them at gunpoint, literally.

Schools have no constitutional right to determine whether someone is guilty of something or not.

A judicial process that doesn’t allow the accused to cross-examine his accuser or reliably see the evidence against him is a civil libertarian’s nightmare.

...and a Godsend for Civil Liberties lawyers filing charges in such a case on behalf of their clients

If the so-called "civil liberties" organisations had pressed this matter in the first place, the action by Sec. DeVoss and the Trump Administration would not be necessary.

A simple note denouncing a citizen is sufficient to send him to the guillotine. Sound familiar?
