The story here in AZ is that McCain personally planned all of this. He thought this was his due, which speaks volumes about his self-importance. Typically sickening.
But he hated Trump. And for months he fed Salty war tales to the idiots on his bus.
Those two things alone get him a media pass.
He was a spoiled brat as a kid. He was an entitled midshipman and officer. He was petty. He was corrupt.
What’s not to love?
Which begs the real question of the day: Joe, Curly, or Shemp?
Almost as compelling as Ginger or Maryann?
Coverage is a whole lot over the top. The drug out funeral functions are a whole lot over the top and are testimony the the kind of pompous a$$ he really was.
My experience in life is that when people are essentially crying out to others, “Look at me!”, there is usually not much of substance to see. Based on his behavior in Congress, I think that assessment fits John McCain very well: he could have been great, but he wasn’t . . . he was a deeply flawed man, just like many of the rest of us.
.....and it goes on and on and on....

And no doubt we the people are paying for the “production.”

With the over the top networks coverage of McCain’s funeral, they put Aretha’s funeral to the back of the bus.
McCain was always “a little over the top”. “TEA Party Hobbits” will never forget his love for them.

What a line up in the first couple rows at the service this morning:
obama’s, the bush’s, biden, gore, kissinger, dole, clinton’s and all the supporting cast that has allowed and facilitated the decline of this great nation.
Just a question. What sort of family disinvites people from a funeral?
I can kinda sorta understand certain n’eer do-well family members. But outsiders? Especially in the political realm?
All this shows is the head of the fish stinks. Both the family, and Washington D.C.
How much is this circus costing the taxpayers?
The kind whose patriarch needs to be buried with a "splash guard."
