When a ship crosses the Equator there is a "ceremony" called "Crossing The Line". Male sailors dress up in outlandish costumes as King Neptune and his mermaid handmaidens and they dunk the first-timers in a tank. It goes back to the days of wooden sailing ships.

This, however, is "Crossing The Line" in a whole different manner. It should never have been allowed and certainly not celebrated!

If I understand correctly, they have pretty much outlawed equator crossing ceremonies in the US Navy. Now they probably have a frikking piece of cake, get a certificate, and go back to work.

What a crock. It was a great way to celebrate a nautical tradition and for people to let off steam, nobody was really hurt, and it gave a sense of unity to a crew.

If you search for pictures of these ceremonies on the Internet, they are hilarious, and nearly everyone has a smile or a grin on their face.

In today’s Navy, they CELEBRATE actual perversion. One of the things I loved about the Navy was the tradition, some of it very old and unfathomable to many in its origins. Leftists HATE tradition, especially military tradition.

I hate leftism. They are the ones responsible for this PC crap.
