Three of John McCain's top aides from his failed 2008 presidential bid are being excluded from his memorial services along with his former running mate Sarah Palin.
McCain's 2008 campaign manager Steve Schmidt, senior adviser Nicolle Wallace - who is now an anchor on MSNBC, and longtime strategist John Weaver were not invited to any of the services or memorials, Politico reported.
'That cathedral will be filled with people who stabbed McCain in the front. Schmidt and Nicolle and Weaver stabbed him in the back and you can't find a single McCain loyalist who will say different or feels different,' said a person familiar with the guest list told the news website.

I wouldn’t bet money that the cathedral will be filled.
No one should take it personally. McCain hasn’t spoken to anyone in days.
Just the word I think describes him perfectly, “bitter”.
He was another globalist hack, wouldn’t matter if he or the Kenyan won. We’d be in the same place as now, maybe even worse given his desire for constant war.
That’s because you are a sane person. Obviously, McCain was not. Can’t wait for when his will is read!
He was a strange man. And he made a career of stabbing people in the back for one thing or another, including his constituents. For doing all that, he earned the nickname of “Maverick,” like it was some kind of badge of honor.
You nailed it.
This is a phony funeral, with phony honors, filled with phony swamp creatures, paying phony respect, for a phony hero.
Covered non-stop by phony news organizations.
I didn’t attend the funeral, but I sent a nice letter saying I approved of it. - Mark Twain
“It’s unclear if McCain, who spent months planning his memorials and funeral before he died, nixed them from the list or not.”
Someone who spent their final months planning their own funeral and memorial NEVER put “country first”. They had too big of an ego to not put their own thoughts of their own legacy FIRST - everthing calculating all the time about their own legacy.
Just my $0.02, but I seriously doubt if McCain had anything to do with any of this personally. Given what he was dying from, he was out of the loop. These decisions, just like his last few dozen political acts, were effected by his staff, and the reason this looks like undying hatred is because that it is. They have every intention of their influence continuing through his replacement and are working overtime to see that that happens.
I still don’t understand something; if McCain wanted Sarah sabotaged by Wallace, then why pick her as his running mate in the first place?
“if McCain wanted Sarah sabotaged by Wallace, then why pick her as his running mate in the first place?”
I think that, initially, he did want Sarah. On paper, she was perfect: A woman, high achiever, governor, etc. He had NO CLUE she would outshine him in every possible way. Also, it wasn’t a secret that millions of GOP voters were voting for her and not him.
It seems the sabotage by Wallace, etc., didn’t begin until he realized SHE was the driving force in the campaign. Narcissist that he was, he couldn’t tolerate that.
Apparently, one of his major character flaws was extreme jealousy, both of men and women.
All JMHO, of course.
Thank you for explaining that. I wouldn’t be surprised if you were right about all this.
Nope; he's got an anti-Trump movie coming out next week, and who knows what else he has done since playing hooky from his real job for the past year.
