during the Apartheid Era, and previous to apartheid policies, the land was seized from non-white farmers and then distributed to white farmers.

You have a good imagination, but that is an absolute lie. There was basically no farming in South Africa before white people started moving into the area hundreds of years ago.

No need to go back hundreds of years.

Instead, one only needs to look at the Native Lands Act of 1913, and policies of the NP government after 1949.

TheSouth African government forced people off their land, both before the ANC regime came to power and while the NP was in power.
