I don’t for ONE MINUTE believe ANYTHING in his story about the Forrestal, Hanoi Hilton or entire service career.

Time and again this despicable man demonstrated he was nasty, egocentric, duplicitous, conniving and absolutely
self-absorbed.

I read a book, long ago, about that stuff. I've since forgotten the title, but it said McCain was not liked very well among the other prisoners, and was suspected by some, at least, of collaborating with the North Vietnamese.

It also stated that when they were all released, McCain was the only one who had gained weight.

Take from that what you will.
