I am supportive of Ted Cruz for Senator, he just can’t be President according to the Constitution.

Excellent. I’m afraid there are some Trump supporters who would actually abandon Cruz for a Democrat, which would be a disaster.

Obama could not be president according to the Constitution, yet he was president.
Cruz can not be president because he does not have enough votes. Whether he should be allowed on a ballot is another consideration which was a relevant topic of discussion 2-3 years ago, but not so much now.
I propose tabling it until Cruz or someone with a similar eligibility question aspires to run for the office.
