Boston Red Sox star J.D. Martinez stood by his controversial Instagram post showing Adolf Hitler, saying Tuesday he was defending the Second Amendment.
Martinez, a perennial American League MVP candidate, posted the photo in 2013. The picture featured Hitler along with the quote, To conquer a nation, first disarm its (sic) citizens. Martinez captioned the post, This is why I always stay strapped! #thetruth He was 25 at the time.

An accurate quote, condemning both Hitler and his fellow travelers. Next, the progressives will be trying to claim that they aren’t fellow travelers. Or is it that they don’t like being reminded of their roots? Hitler learned from the Fabian Socialists of the United States.
He did not apologize and his manager is standing behind his right to make the comment.
He is currently leading in two triple crown categories and is one behind in home runs which he was leading before when he was second in batting average.
Boston Sports radio (WEEI) has discussed all summer who will win MVP, Mookie (Who just hit a home run) or JD Martinez. They have suggested that Mookie has the edge because of his defense along with his offense.
Winning the triple crown is based strictly on stats. Either he does it or not.
I really don’t think the baseball sports media will hold JD’s politics against him if he is truly the MVP. The kicker here is that with two on the same team, they may cancel out votes.
It's 2018. He's supposed to delete his tweet, apologize tearfully, and donate money to David Hogg.

I am well aware of Massachusetts politics if that is what you are getting at. I watch NECN in the morning for the weather. I also take in Howie Carr in the afternoon. You do realize Maine is just up the road a piece.
Didn't know you were from Maine but yes,I do understand that it's right up the road.
I'm also aware that DJT got an Electoral Vote from Maine.Never again will a Republican get a single EV from Massachusetts.
Lastly...there's Massachusetts politics and there's *Boston* politics. One has a pretty foul aroma...the other features the putrid smell of death.
