Huber is not investigating anyone or anything as i stated 3months ago. He is doing an internal DOJ review. Some folks actually accept that view after I provided the Huber assignment letter. Only the secret investigations crowd thnk that huber is investigating.
I know that.
But many here believe Sessions and Huber have some super
secret plan they are about to spring.
He is a very bright man and a loyal person to those who have served him. Jeff Sessions is counting on that benevolence, taking advantage of it in this case since he was the first and just about the only US Senator who strongly supported him early in the campaign.
Trump wants him out and Senators Grassley and McConnell have publicly stated they are open to a new AG after midterms. I expect that is largely the part which the WSJ is hanging their hat on: wait until after the midterms to avoid controversy at the moment. I don't believe Kennedy views him as an effective AG any more than we do.
But as stated in this string and from my reading over the years, no one makes it into the Senate without kissing butt with some questionable characters. I can think of only one US Senator, Harry Truman, who served with distinction in the 20th century as both a US Senator and US President. The US Senate is a Constitutionally established part of the legislative branch but the vast majority of them from both parties aren't noted for ethics. And our 44th president was a glaring example of how the corrupt rise to the top of the swamp via the Senate.
