If Sessions gets fired, the Senate says they will not confirm anyone else. That’s when Trump should move in, consolidate the FBI solely under his control, take it completely over and start pulling files on these rats and expose the whole cabal of crooks.

If Trump fires Session during the end of Congress recess, he gets a whole year of a recess appointed AG before the Senate can do anything about it.

By that time, things will be very different, as we move into reelection season and nobody wants to run as a Trump obstructionist when Trump is also running for reelection.
