I think in 2008 a lot of people saw him picking fights like that all over the planet and decided the safer option was to vote Obama.
I wasn’t one of those, but I am sure they were out there.
I remember all the speculation that Hillary supporters were so pissed off at Obama over the Democratic nomination, that they would vote for McCain....of course, that never happened.
