This story highlights what is wrong with the left. They feel it is ok, even necessary, to violate law, assault and commit battery because they disagree with someone’s point of view.
While what you wrote is fundamentally correct, with respect I would suggest it is imprecise. Because someone from the left will not feel justified to resort to violence in reaction to all matters of political disagreement. A certain amount of leeway can be granted when debating various topics of leftist orthodoxy.
It is political thought on the right of the spectrum, particularly anything emanating from Republicans, that must be squashed by any means necessary. Leftists are taught that Republicans are the philosophical heirs of Nazism. They are racist, antisemitic, homophobic, sexist, xenophobic, capitalistic exploiters. Thus violence, even homicide, are justifiable ends to prevent another Holocaust. That this demonization of a specific class of their fellow citizens is exactly the tactic used by the Nazis themselves, the Bolsheviks before them, and the Islamists of today, sails completely over the SJW’s heads. In their minds they are using intolerance to stamp out intolerance. They are fighting the war to end all wars. And you’d better not disagree.
